70. The samples taken pursuant to this Regulation must be sent for analysis to laboratories accredited by the Minister under section 118.6 of the Environment Quality Act (chapter Q-2). Where there is no laboratory accredited for analyzing a substance referred to in this Regulation, the samples taken pursuant to this Regulation must, for the purpose of analyzing the substance concerned and despite the provisions of the first paragraph, be sent to a laboratory that meets ISO/CEI 17025, General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories, which is published jointly by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission.
The analysis reports prepared by the laboratories must be kept by the operator for a minimum of 5 years after the date on which they were prepared.
